Amendment to the Decision (No: E-762-2003) of the Council of Ministers

dated 21.4.2003 Regarding Crossings from the

Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to the South

and from the South to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus

E-770-2003

            The Council of  Ministers have taken the following decision:

1. (1)    Further to the decision (No: E-762-2003) dated 21.4.2003 regarding crossings from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to the South and from the South to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus;

B- Amendment of article 5 concerning crossings from South Cyprus to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as follows:

5 (a) Crossings will take place on a day trip basis between 7.00-24.00 hours and

         also

   (b) Those crossing from South Cyprus to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will      be able to stay up to 3 days per week in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus provided that they make reservations via tour operators and/or individually and present upon exit valid receipt and/or documentation as proof of their stay at the hotels.

1. (2)    Further to the decision (No: E-762-2003) dated 21.4.2003 the envisaged;

   (c) Gates of crossings from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to South Cyprus and from South Cyprus to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be reorganised as follows:

1. 1.  Ledra Palace
2. 2.  Beyarmudu
3. 3.  2.5 Mile Checkpoint
4. 4.  Kermiya Checkpoint (only for crossings with vehicles) (implementation will commence after the necessary preparations have been completed.)
